Recreational vehicle parks can offer a profitable industry for any who are involved in it. A large number of RV camping grounds are owned by government agencies. These parks make a profit by charging a fee to camp there; many of the publicly owned grounds are actually cheaper than the privately owned ones. As public sites, all of the profits go towards the government sector that owns them. However, it also means that whatever national or recreational park they are placed on are responsible for the upkeep and management of the recreational vehicle site. Park employees make sure that all outdoor facilities are clean and stocked, that any cabins hare well repaired, and help take care of customer problems. Depending on the location of the park, different rules and regulations will apply. For instance, in more remote locations, the number of trailers pulled by trucks or vans may be limited, due to mobility. There are probably few accommodations at these lodgings as well, since water hookups and electrical wiring may be harder to install.

For RV parks that are privately owned, it is possible for the owner to make a good profit on them. The park owner needs to employ a certain number of people to keep up the grounds, enforce rules, and collect camping fees. But, most parks only require a minimal staff, many of which actually live on site. Privately owned RV grounds often have the advantage of better accommodations, like wireless internet and pet free zones, as well as more exclusive clientele. Often, the resort places limitations on the type and number of travelers allowed in the park at one time. Some of the higher-end resorts may even place limitations on the makes and models of vehicles allowed for their customers, again enforcing exclusivity.

Some RV dealers sell used items, while others sell new. If you enjoy camping when you travel, and need a small or large RV, you may require the services of an RV dealer. Often times, people use RVs to travel on vacation, parking the vehicles at a campground, as an alternative to paying high fees to stay at a park resort. Some people live in RVs and travel from campground to campground to get a feel for various places of living. Camper dealerships operate in much the same manner as car dealerships. If you think RV living is for you, contact a few different dealers and visit each one for more information. Inquire about sale prices to find the best deals. When wondering how to choose an RV for sale or rent, research the quality of different brands, research company safety records of the vehicles, and inquire about the different models available. Whether you're looking to visit a campground for golf, fishing, boating, hiking, freshwater swimming, or wildlife watching; or whether you want to travel permanently, taking your own park and resort with you, you need to find a quality RV targeted to your specific needs. When considering campers or RVs, decide what kind of recreational vehicle you want, such as a trailer, van, motor coach, or fifth wheel. Some people like RVs as an alternative to pitching tents at outdoor sites. They also make great travel vehicles because you can bring along your pets. When considering a purchase of an RV as opposed to staying in a park or resort hotel, decide what size and price range you need. Some RV dealers sell one type of product, while others sell a wide range of products, such as campers, RVs, campground hitches, accommodations and lodging accessories, and motor homes.
