    Running a senior citizen center is a great career. It is based on caring for the elderly. These organizations provide community and housing opportunities for senior citizens.

    While you don’t necessarily need a degree to open a retirement home, a background in medicine or business might be helpful. You should also be comfortable with the responsibility of providing medical and living assistance to your residents. Of course, above all else, you should be passionate about providing the elderly with a place they can feel comfortable and safe.
