| the details: | I was once a faithful customer of JA&T, until several instances of bad service sent me elsewhere. I religiously took my cars into JA&T for routine maintenance, but they couldn't diagnose the tricky stuff. My Cougar had 65K miles on it when the engine blew because their fix for my coolant leak was just to keep adding coolant every time I was there for an oil change. Never failed that a week or so later the coolant light would come on - and they could never figure out why. The weekend before Labor Day '04 I took my car in for a routine check and specifically asked them to go over everything completely , especially my tires, because I was driving to Vegas for the holiday and traveling with a car full of dogs. They gave me the big thumbs up and sent me on my way. The following weekend, I was in the middle of practically nowhere when the tread on my right rear tire separated, and I was stranded in 100 plus heat with four dogs at 5pm on a Friday. Luckily, I had AAA and a cell phone. |
