You can go above and beyond the regular school requirements to learn specialized muscle techniques such as Thai, other Asian techniques, Swedish and pregnancy services by either taking classes from a master or going to a school that teaches these techniques. Most schools teach standard methods like foot, back, and full body massage while you may have to search for a school that teaches deep tissue therapeutic techniques.

    Once properly licensed, you can decide to either open your own parlor, join an already working spa, or try to get into sports therapy. If you decide to open your own place, you must learn the basics of business management and buy your own equipment such as tables, oil, and stones. Running your own business can be a pain, but you'll be able to choose your own hours and clients to help with stress relief.
