    If you are seeking short-term care, find out how long you will be allowed to stay. Most visits will last several months. Also ensure that your insurance covers the stay, as the costs can be very high otherwise.

    Convalescent homes and nursing facilities for the elderly are a major business now. More and more people are seeing the need for assisted living facilities and retirement community locations.
