Light Bulbs and Tubes
A manufacturer that sells light bulbs, tubes, and pipes will want to provide customers with different wattages in fluorescent, LED, and halogen lights.
Recessed, ceiling, and wall lighting fixtures can be bought in many stores, and will have the proper bulb, tube, or pipe to go with them. Some stores will have technicians available to install the fixtures in the home or building for an additional fee.
Stores will have energy saving bulbs, pipes, and tubes available for customers to save money on their energy bills by having lights that use less energy for indoor and outdoor lights. Gardens, ceilings, and walls with light fixtures that use compact fluorescent, LED track, and halogen lights can be bought at cheaper prices through distributors.
Employees will need to know the best wattage types available for different kinds of lamps just in case customers have any questions for which light bulbs and tubes they should buy. If they work in a store with lamps and other types of light fixtures, they will help direct customers to the pendant, garden, or recessed lighting area. Employees can answer questions customers may have regarding what type of light bulbs different manufacturers make, and which brand they would recommend. Since recommendations will be given, stores will train employees to know the advantages each type of bulb gives their customers.
Technicians who install a light fixture in a building will need to be licensed and educated in working with electrical wiring. They may be employed by the company or be contracted. Either way, keeping their license current will be required to work in any state.
