    If you are good at installing wiring, consider becoming an electric contractor. An electric contractor can work on residential or commercial properties. You would work alongside the general contractor on home construction sites.

Some of the skills you might need include math, science and engineering. You will then have to decide if you want to work independently or connect with a company.

    Whether you are working on a private house or a large office complex, you should always be aware of your clients’ safety. There are many laws in place that protect both your clients and your company in emergency situations.
