Becoming an audio visual consultant or AV technician can be very exciting. After all, in this line of work, you will get to deal with all kinds of video production equipment, surround sound systems, and rental projectors for company or business presentations. If you have a great interest in assisting people with audio visual equipment and lighting design for major events, this line of work can be a lot of fun. Some other products you may have to handle include microphones, digital sound editing equipment, and systems used to copy DVDs. You will need a certain level of training in order to work as an audio visual consultant or equipment technician. You can take classes for this type of work, and it is a great way to become better acquainted with surround sound systems, lighting equipment, video presentation devices, and editing software. At some point you may have to assist a client with setting up computers or video equipment for a teleconference. At other times, you may have to help someone with a rental video production and sound systems for a special event or party.
