  • What's the difference between cool and cold storage?
    The temperature in a cold storage facility is generally kept between 0-65 degrees Fahrenheit. At a cool storage facility, the temperature is going to be in the 40-65 degree Fahrenheit range. There are also dry storage facilities which are kept at room temperature and used for storing dry goods.

  • Can the cold storage facility manage logistics, too?
    Some larger facilities offer transportation services like pickup and delivery of goods.

    There are many professionals that work for cold storage warehouses. This can be an interesting and exciting line of work for the right individuals. Therefore you can expect to deal with workers from these businesses regularly. At times you will deal with refrigerated mobile trucks handling product pickups, and other times you will deal with major perishable food deliveries that must be stored properly.

    With so much perishable food being distributed to stores daily, you can expect this type of work to get quite hectic at times.
