Tips for Selecting Men’s Clothing
The following are some basic tips for selecting men’s clothing.

Tip #1: When in Doubt, Stick with the Classics
Crazy colors and patterns that are fashionable now may not be fashionable in just a couple months, but basic colors and cuts of clothing never go out of style. Straight cut pants, simple collared shirts, and unembellished jackets are always the place to begin when selecting men’s clothing. Neutral colors like black, gray, and white are the best choices since they are the easiest to mix and match. You could always add a bit of color with a tie – but don’t go too crazy.

Tip #2: Wear it Right
Never select clothing that is too tight or baggy. This gets complicated when shopping for more than just jeans and a casual shirt because you will not have a simple small, medium, or large to choose from. Measurements must be done correctly to ensure a proper fit. For example, collared shirts can include a neck, chest, and arm measurement. Don’t fret, though. Designer clothing stores will be able to measure you to determine your size.

Tip #3: Don’t Be a Mismatched Nightmare
The more colors you add to an ensemble, the more likely you are you mismatch them. For best – and easiest – results, stick with neutral colors like black, gray, white, and even navy blue. Khaki pants go well with many different colored shirts, so having a couple pairs of these is essential for wardrobe flexibility. The question of what apparel to match socks with is highly debated, but your shoes should match your belt.

Tip #4: Accessorize
Accessories should enhance your overall appearance, not distract from it. Subtle additions, like a nice watch, can work wonders for an ensemble. Large jewelry or an outdated style of hat could ruin an otherwise wonderful outfit. Try to buy accessories with – or while wearing – a favorite outfit to ensure they go well with it.

Many women and men work in wholesale clothing and furnishings for men. After all, this is a very grand industry that involves a lot of designer clothes, trendy suits, casual hats, and custom fashion accessories. Typically wholesale companies sell apparel at discounted prices to retail shops and stores across the country. Therefore you can expect to deal with all kinds of belts, shirts, pants, retro style accessories, and dress shoes when working in this wholesale business. Fortunately since this is such a large industry, there are many different locations to work in. It just depends on what you prefer and where you reside.

In order to be a professional in the men’s wholesale clothing and furnishing business, you will first need to undergo some training, which can likely be acquired on the job. This will help you learn a lot about men’s apparel, belts, designer hats, casual winter attire, and high fashion suits. As you know, different clothes are needed for different types of weather and occasions. You will learn plenty about designer labels, different fabric materials, and discount clothing for guys. While you may have to deal with retro style jeans and shirts on one day, you might have to handle designer dress shoes and business apparel on the next day. It is your job to provide retail stores and shops with the men’s clothing and accessories they need.

When you work in this business, you are likely to deal with a number of retail clothing store managers and owners daily.
