| Have parents been OFA for hips/elbows? What are the bloodlines? Are these AMerican or german lines? Are they guarenteed? |

| Here's a hint, anyone who can't even spell the name of the breed correctly probably hasn't bothered to be stringent about their breeding standards. Do the research, and find a reputable breeder. This place is a guaranteed disaster. |

| LOL..who cares about your opinion..stop reading posts that you are not interested in. The main point is I am looking for good homes for these dogs not the fact that I can not spell. FYI..I am not a place I am a person. Take Care. |

| And brett just so you know I am giving these pups away to the proper homes.. Prospective owners are told that these dogs are for pets only..I am not saying they are champions by any stretch of the word..but looking at the parents they just might be.... |

Oh, you're giving them away are you? I'm sure that not making that clear in the original post was an oversight on your part.
The reference to "this place" was a reference to this message board in general not you specifically. There may be a few legit breeders on here, but the vast majority seem to be BYBs (backyard breeders) who breed indiscriminately with little consideration for the betterment of the breed. Hence, I can't imagine buying a dog from anyone here unless they could be thoroughly checked out. |

Brett,
You beat me to it.
Spelling deficiencies in general have nothing to do with it.
You know how to spell your name. You should know how to spell your breed. It's Shepherd....as in "Herding Dog."
And if you are giving away puppies because your primary concern is finding a good home, why on Earth are you doing it on the Internet, much less in this forum? Why not run an ad in your local paper where you will at least have the ability to sit down and screen potential homes? Watch them sign the mandatory spay/neuter contract, go over health and breed related issues with them and make it clear to them that you will take these puppies back (No matter what! No matter when!).
Granted, it's much easier to just sell.....er, I mean "give away" puppies over the Internet. But where you advertise, how you advertise speaks volumes.
Generally speaking, what kind of homes do you honestly expect to find here? |

| Well lauren...we had a very large litter and posted many ads in the paper..now as you can see from this message board this world is loaded with freaks...so many of the people we got were not acceptable..the longer we waited the older the pups got...so figured why not try the internet and thats exactly where I found lovely people to care for the pups...Maybe not from this message board because people here are too worried about spelling errors and why and how my dog became pregnant to care about adopting one.. |

If you gave a crap about how and why your dog was bred, we wouldn't have to. The criticism here is that, given the fact you're giving away pups, you were not responsible with the dog you have. Now, by your own admission, there's a "very large litter" out there. This is your fault, and if you profit by it, more the shame on you.
As for your spelling, that criticism is legitimate as well. As I have stated in other posts, such habits indicate an unfamiliarity with the breed, thus another facet of irresponsible ownership.
The people on this board who have repeatedly posted critical comments about irresponsible breeding have done so out of genuine concern for the German Shepherd breed. These are attempts to educate the potential buying public about the pitfalls of bad breeding, including health and temperament problems, and the needless swelling of animal shelters everywhere. The fact that you have a problem with this indicates that you are self-centered and unwilling to take responsibility for your mistakes.
Get your dog spayed, and please make a reasonable effort to educate yourself about the tragic misfortune that befalls so many shelter animals every year, many of whom were given to "good homes" by their breeders. I shudder to think of the mode, method or madness of the "screening process" you used. |

Well " NOT IMPORTANT" I think your user name says it all...If half the world could learn to mind their own business I think we would all be alot better off....My dog is fixed now if thats your business whats going on in between her legs...Dont worry about how I screened the new owners..although alot were family members and I will watch them grow to be the great dogs I know they are going to be although half these people who do not know me or my pups are dooming them. So I wish I could control myself and just stay far away from this message board because only God knows why I am defending myself to a bunch of obsessed individuals..but I get a little board at work :) Ok thanks again for all the input
